- What are the alloy of aluminum?
The basic state of aluminum alloy is divided into 5 kinds, as shown in the expression code name description and application.
F. free working alloy: it is suitable for the products with special requirements of work hardening and heat treatment conditions in the forming process, and the mechanical properties of the products in this state are not specified.
O. annealing alloy: suitable for processed products with minimum strength after complete annealing.
H. work hardening alloy: it is suitable for products that improve their strength through work hardening. After work hardening, the products can go through (or not go through) additional heat treatment that reduces their strength. The H is followed by two or three Arabic numerals.
W. solid melt heat treatment alloy: an unstable state, only applicable to the alloy after solution heat treatment, natural aging at room temperature, this state code only means that the product is in the natural aging stage.
T. heat treatment alloy (different from the F, O, and H alloy)：It is applicable to products that are stable after heat treatment with (or without) work hardening. The T code must be followed by one or more Arabic numerals.
